I don't think Cortex's behavior is that out of sync. He's always been a bit self-involved. Note how he brushed past Wireframe in his introductory scene in episode 2, completely wrapped up in himself. So, after experiencing the highs of a leading a successful mission, he wasn't going to react well to having someone else receive all the credit and congratulations for his work...on television, no less. I'm not sure anyone would react well in that scenario, honestly. Except maybe The Ten-Second Rule, who's pretty chill.

I was worried that Spatter scene wasn't going to be very clear. She was trying to scrape/bite/tear/rinse/scald off the scabs that resulted from previously smearing her blood across her sleeves and exposed arm (where the initial incision occurred). She needs a much better system. One that's easier to explain. Heh.

Something's going on with Cortex, certainly. The giant brain growing a giant ego seems contradictory to his previous character traits, so, I'm interested and also fearful to see what is going on exactly.

Also, I'm not exactly sure what sweet Spatter was doing to herself in the tub. Some sort of cleaning sure, but, exactly, not sure what. Not that I know what a teen who bleeds herself to kick ass might do to clean a wound...

This is where I find you to be the most entertaining. The down time, the characters. You do a genuine job of bringing diversity to your cast, and while this cast is effing massive, well, each character is distinct enough to stand apart.

The dialogue skips along beautifully as always.

Heh, a full issue might be a little much, but he is certainly a central figure this season (or whatever you want to call it). And, I've got a feeling he'll keep stealing the show as we move forward.

Cortex is definitely my favorite of your inventions, maybe I'd be asking too much if you did a single issue devoted just to him!
